Taylor here ~ I want to share a little bit about the Swift-Acting Protection (Green Tara) practice that we do with you.
The first time I experienced the practice was in Kathmandu, Nepal 2 years ago …
It was 5 in the morning in a freezing monastery with 30+ Buddhist monks.
The practice permeated my entire body ~ the drums, the bells, the trumpets, the chanting … it woke up something inside of me.
A sense of safety, protection, belonging, stability, clarity ~ home.
While we were in Kathmandu, this Swift-Acting Protection (Green Tara) practice was generously passed along to us ~ by our request, through oral transmission by a Nepali Lama whom Lisa has known for more than 30 years.
He sent us to learn the actual practice with three precious Ani’s (Buddhist nuns) who lived at the Marpa Monastery – over 1000 years old – a stone’s throw away.
Every morning at sunrise, we sat with them & followed along as they chanted the long practice in Tibetan from memory at lightning speed.
I remember sitting there in the monastery, unable to understand anything or follow along fast enough … and thinking: there’s no way I am going to be able to learn this.
Morning after morning, they sat with us patiently, and by our final day, we were fully empowered to bring it home.
We've been doing this practice privately together since then ... but we feel that right now, it's time to share it, as certain parts of the country are in need of swift-acting protection.
This special practice provides protection, in all directions, from:
Fear & danger of harmful influences
Visible & invisible obstacles
Suffering, misery, sorrow
Disease, sickness, famine & poison
It attracts & magnetizes everything beneficial, to benefit all beings, and provides a net of safety & mental stability in times of hardship.
We've shared this practice publicly as a way to generate pure intention & donations for people & places that need it.
Prayers give people courage.
Courage gives people clarity.
Clarity gives us strength to know what to do [especially in times of hardship].
We privately do this practice everyday, but we don't currently don't have any public Green Tara gatherings on the calendar. If you want to join the email list that will get notified each time we do this practice, enter your email address here. Those on this list will get notified about each opportunity to harness the exponential power of prayer & intention. We’ll come together to raise money, offer services, give donations, be connectors, etc., and if it’s a cause close to your heart, you can join us & empower the collective virtuous action.
Love & a golden aura of protection,
Taylor, Katie & the LOTUSWEI team
