I met Jessica when I was 21 - we were both living + going to school in Madrid. She was my closest girlfriend there - we used to hang out with the Spanish boys together. Neither of us really fit in - in that world, but we had a great time. Amazing when you meet people 20 years later + you have more in common than you ever knew. Now Jessica is a Licensed Acupuncturist. I work with flower essences. We’re both working in the energy medicine field and we both also have a strong connection to Asia + Eastern Medicine.
Are you curious as to what your body may be trying to tell you about your current state and/or what patterns may lie in your family’s history? Jessica gives some insight on how to recognize the signs that there may be something more going on than meets the eye.
LISTEN to this episode on:
Jessica is a contemplator, idea maker, thinker and innovator who takes the qualities of observing nature, spending time in quietude, and a sense of deep inner looking to her practice of acupuncture and East Asian medicine.
While almost any condition is relevant to her practice, the juiciness of a patient’s internal world and how they emotionally and spiritually interact within the scope of their larger lives, with the smaller pieces of their inner lives, and the environments they inhabit is what brings her own treatment style to life.
Jessica is the owner and founder of Balance Point Wellness in Minneapolis, is a clinical supervisor for Chinese medicine interns and a staff acupuncturist at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. The combination of working with patients and also guiding students in the beginnings of their own practice has created an even more rich and fertile ground for her constant study of Chinese and East Asian medicine, Chinese medicine theory, and the interaction of these with the contemporary world we live in.
Her favorite piece of the life puzzle is to spin a new perspective on ancient traditions and apply the concepts to where we are today, and how we are evolving as humans inhabiting this living, constantly cycling planet.
