In this episode I speak with John Tabis, owner and founder of Bouqs, an online flower delivery company. He talks about how what started as a way to highlight the positive qualities of his friend’s flower farm in South America evolved into a desire to change the entire floral industry. John opens his heart and shares his experiences with balancing business, family and personal survival. He talks about investors, disrupting the floral industry, challenges in business and the power of questioning yourself.
An entrepreneur and brand builder with deep experience in innovative media ventures and consumer products, John Tabis is Founder and Chairman of The Bouqs Company. In 2012, along with co-founder Juan Pablo Montúfar, Tabis launched the Marina del Rey, California-based company, now an industry leader in the online floral space that delivers flowers and plants fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms around the world to doorsteps nationwide. Prior to launching Bouqs, Tabis worked in corporate brand strategy for Disney and ShoeDazzle and advised Fortune 100 clients at Bain & Company.
